Spanish flower and plant exports grew by up to 5% to October and exceeded 500 million euros

The Spanish export of flowers and live plants increased by 5% until October 2022 in relation to the same period in 2021 and has stood at 514,764,000 euros , according to the latest data updated by the Agency's Department of Customs and Excise Tax processed by FEPEX .

The main product groups of the flower and ornamental plant sector are growing. The export of live plants from January to October 2022 in relation to the same months of 2021 increased by 5%, reaching 424.5 million euros and cut flowers increased by 2%, reaching 51.2 million euros. . They are followed by sales abroad of foliage, with 29.9 million euros, 12% more, and bulbs, with 8.4 million euros (+2%).

By autonomous communities, the Valencian Community exported flowers and plants worth 151.7 million euros up to October, which is 5% more than in the same period of 2021. Andalusia exported a value of 148.6 million euros , with a growth of 9% and flower and plant exports from Murcia in the analyzed period amounted to 26.7 million euros , 3% more.
