Nidagravel plates are used to stabilize gravel, pebbles, crushed stone and gravel, allowing easy walking and driving on these materials. These are extruded plates with alveoli in the shape of honeycombs. The inner face is covered with a porous geotextile. USES It can be used to stabilize gravel in: accesses to garages and car parks, paths and garden streets for pedestrians and cyclists, roof terraces... INSTALLATION It is important to consolidate the base on which we will place the plates to avoid deformation or sinking by the weight of the loads. The caliber of the gravel used must not exceed 201 mm in diameter, in order to achieve a perfect settlement in the alveoli. As a consequence of the gravel settling in the course of the first days, we recommend covering the slabs with a 2 cm layer. thick, in order to preserve 1 cm. over time, so that the plaques are not visible. The slabs can be placed on slopes of up to 45% or 24º without any particular mechanical anchorage, since a slab filled with gravel weighs about 230 Kg. MAINTENANCE We advise regularly checking the top layer of gravel (1 to 2 centimeters ) on the boards. This layer has the function of avoiding direct contact between users and the Nidagravel boards and of making them invisible. In the period that follows the placement of Nidagravel, the gravel sinks due to natural compaction and there is a risk that it will make the boards appear. In such a case, an additional layer of gravel should be added for aesthetic and practical reasons. In case of frequent use of the surface, we recommend regularly leveling the top layer with a rake.
