Description:
Abelia Chinensis is one of the most resistant types of abelia that exist. Originally from China, it is a compact and leafy shrub that can reach 2 meters in height.
It can be deciduous or semi-deciduous depending on where it develops, the leaves are ovate, with slightly toothed margins, of a bright light green color that turn purple in autumn, acute, with an attenuated or rounded base, 2.4-4 × 1- 3 cm, the leaves are thick and shiny, dark in color.
It produces small whitish and purplish flowers.
Culture:
It requires deep and fertile soils, moderate irrigation. It tolerates pruning and it is recommended to make a bottom fertilizer in spring to promote regrowth and growth.
Multiplication:
Mainly by cutting its stems.
Applications:
Ornamental use due to its great resistance, mainly to form flowerbeds, hedges and groups of shrubs
