Description:
The Maidenhair ( Adiantum cuneatum ) is a fern belonging to the Pteridaceae Family.
It is a perennial herbaceous plant up to 50 cm tall, with a long, creeping rhizome. It usually grows on rocky walls of sources and shady places.
Culture:
Shade or semi-shade. Abundant watering with constant humidity. It requires loose, fresh, neutral or limestone soils. It cannot grow in acid soils.
It should grow in areas where the temperature is -5ºC.
Very abundant watering and high relative humidity, place the pot with the fern on a plate with pebbles and water. You can also spray.
Multiplication:
By spores in spring.
Applications:
Ornamental use in flowerpots or in flower beds indoors.
