Awards
OJA aims to value the creation of green spaces, their design, biodiversity and sustainability, as well as their use, beauty, landscape and execution quality and the durability of their current and future conservation.
The competition is annual and regional in nature and all those who have designed, remodeled and/or restored and then executed a garden or green space in the Andalusian territory may apply.
In the first edition of the OJA Gardening Contest, “Looking through the Gardens of Andalusia”, which took place in 2022, the prize went to the project “LOS COLORES DEL LITORAL”, the work of the landscape designer Rosa Ceño Elie-Joseph , from the Ginko firm Landscape. The Jury highlighted the award-winning project “for its creativity, sustainability, choice of plant species, complexity of the project, beauty and adaptation to the environment.”
In the second edition, the landscape designer Juan Pedro Sacedón Ayuso won the award for the “VIRIDIA” project located in Estepona. In its minutes the Jury highlighted “the design, material execution and the current state of conservation with a variety of proposals and design achievements, perfectly maintaining the principles of unity, functionality and beauty of the project.”
The award is presented at the Andalucía en Flor Awards Ceremony, which will take place in November 2024 .
