The Spanish Association of Manufacturers-Exporting of Agricultural Machinery and its Components (AGRAGEX) has made public these and other data relating to the sector in the framework of the fair Demoagro, who has come accompanied by six of their associated companies, and which is held in anchorage from 21 to 23 may.

France repeats as the main destination country, with a value of shipments of 305 million euros, followed by Portugal, with 237 million, and Italy, with 134 million. By sector, the equipment of protection of crops -greenhouses, fertilizers and equipment for treatments - repeated as the most demanded in the world markets, with close to 1,000 million euros (42,5%) exported to the five continents. Greenhouses account for half of that billing, and Europe also stands out in this specific section, with 342 million euros exported to their countries.

The equipment farmers occupy the second place, with 554 million exported (by 23.8%). In particular, they highlight the health and animal nutrition, which accounted for 72%. Europe is also the first customer in this sector.

The components, with 112 million; teams of post-harvest, with 111 million; and agricultural machinery, with 106 million to complete the table of exports of Spanish companies in 2018.

?2018 may be considered a good year for exporters, especially if we take into account the crisis in tariff between EE. UU. and China, the very serious situation facing Venezuela, the embargo applied to Iran, the situation of the Turkish economy, the loss of strength in the German economy, etc?, confessed the director-general of AGRAGEX, Jaime Hernani, in Demoagro.

From the Association rely on the recurrence of such positive data in 2019. To do this, Hernani points out that ?we need a strong dollar, although we have our doubts that this is so if the barrel of oil continues to rise. The news that reached us from Iran are not very encouraging in this regard.?
