The Gremi of Gardening of Catalonia has published the results of a survey conducted among its partners to know how they're affecting the COVID-19 and the restrictions of the state of alarm.
From the Catalan point out that "we have had a low level of affected due to the correct use of ppe to which we are already accustomed to and the fulfilment of the remaining health measures. For another, this survey has served to do an radiography of the profession, and from the entity detailed that one of the conclusions of the report is that the number of self-employed and micro-enterprises has grown over the last few years, thus changing the structure of the sector. They point out that while in 2007 the self-employed and businesses with up to 10 workers were 74%, now it is about 82%.
"The majority of gardeners are dedicated to gardening private but you have to highlight the important increase of companies that are also dedicated to the public, possibly for the last public procurement rules and the competitive bidding for lots, which favors the incorporation of our type of companies to tender", explained from the Gremi.
