Description:
The pistachio tree is a small tree belonging to the Anarcadiaceae Family. It can reach 10 m in height, is characterized by pinnate leaves 10-20 cm long.
It is a dioecious plant. The flowers have no petals and are gathered in inflorescences called panicles. The fruit is an edible drupe called a pistachio, which is covered by a thin fleshy skin, green in color.

Originally from the eastern areas of the Mediterranean, it is a plant with tolerance to desertification and salinity, it does not develop well in high humidity conditions.
The pistachio tree requires high temperatures during the day (+35ºC), on deep, sandy soils. It requires exposure to full sun and low irrigation.
For the production of the pistachio, it is necessary to carry out regular pruning to maintain the shape and favor the flower buds from which the fruit emerges.
